As a child, I used to sleep in my grandparent’s house. When I awoke, I found my grandfather sitting at the breakfast table chopping fruit into small pieces. It was like a ritual, and I admired it so much that I pricked the fruit the same way. This affective memory surfaced when, participating in an exhibition in the municipal park of Belo Horizonte, I decided to propose to the visitors that we make a big fruit salad together. Each participant chose, cut and assembled the fruit in their own personal way. The aim of the happening was to celebrate the surprise of doing, sharing and still have an aesthetic result of the process.
